Hi Folks,

This is my new blog in which I post tidbits on my activities and make announcements on the publication of new works in my webstore. I’m really excited about this upcoming semester (fall 2023). I’ll be teaching music classes at Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University, and McMurry University. I’ll also be recording both Masterworks and Pops concerts for the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.

I just finished a commission for SATB chorus and trombone ensemble for Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. It was commissioned by Dr. Clell Wright, DCA at VSU. They are travelling to Portugal and Spain in 2024 and will be performing my pieces during their tour. The text for these pieces came from the Cantigas de Santa Maria, a 13th-century anthology of music and poetry to the Blessed Virgin Mary written in Galician, the language of romance and poetry in the court of Alfonso X, king of Leon and Castile (1221-1284).
